Action-packed tower defence game hits the Oculus Rift.
We love Kittypocalypse, as you might have guessed from our preview earlier this year. Now the game is available on the Oculus Store priced £22.99, and it’s definitely worth checking out, with 15 island-based levels to defend, more than 50 weapon upgrades and dozens of ways to shoot, blast and destroy alien kittens as they horde towards your base.
The basics of the game are simple: defend your base from alien kittens by building tower defences. Weapons include machine guns, rocket launchers, lasers and more, with each being upgradable several times to really cause damage. The game has been designed with VR in mind, so expect smooth, fluid gameplay, head-tracking-based controls and an interface that works perfectly on the Rift.
You can download a free demo of the game here, or load up the Oculus Store on your Rift headset to buy the full game. If you’re looking for an action-packed strategy game then Kittypocalypse is definitely worth a try.
